Inspired by the insights of Dr. Franco Fabbro and drawing from my personal journey as a mother, we know that every child has the incredible capacity to learn up to 5 languages alongside their native tongue.

Our core languages include:

English and Spanish: As primary languages spoken in San Diego, we provide a strong foundation in both to ensure effective communication within our community.

Italian and German: These are the languages close to my heart, as I hail from an Italian heritage in a region where German is also spoken. It's my pleasure to share these rich linguistic traditions with your children.

Our multilingual approach fosters not only language skills but also cultural awareness, enriching your child's educational experience.

Healthy Homemade Meals:

We take great pride in our culinary heritage. As an Italian with a rich culinary tradition, I bring the flavors of Italy (and more) to every meal.

Using carefully selected, high-quality ingredients, we craft each meal with love and dedication, ensuring that your child experiences the taste of greatest cuisine.

We believe that a balanced diet is essential for your child's growth and well-being. Our meals are filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats - all prepared in the Mediterranean style. Your child will savor the delicious and nutritious flavors of this cuisine.

With over 20 years of experience as a teacher, educator, and a mother of three, we understand the importance of providing more than just basic care.

Our approach is inspired by both the Montessori and Agazzi methods:

Montessori’s focus on independence, hands-on learning, and problem-solving, combined with the Agazzi sisters’ emphasis on warmth, community, and simple everyday materials.

At Rainbow Colors Family Child Care, children learn through creative play, guided exploration, and real-life experiences. We create an environment that encourages curiosity, decision-making, and collaboration.

The Owner

Hello everyone,

Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is ILARIA, and I'm thrilled to share a glimpse of my life with you. I'm originally from Italy (South Tirol), but my family and I have been calling Vista our home for the past years. Speaking of family, I am incredibly fortunate to be a mother to three wonderful children, now aged 7, 13, and almost 15.

My educational journey has encompassed fields such as psychology, sociology, and pedagogy. I've also taken courses in the management and operation of childcare facilities.

For several years, I served as a teacher and co-director of an early childhood school in Italy. Education has always been a passion of mine, and I believe in its transformative power.

Volunteering has played a significant role in my life since my teenage years when I served as an organizer for parish groups. I also grew up in the Italian Scouting movement, where education is at the core of the experience. I spent years as a Scout leader, working with both younger children and older teenagers.

I've had the opportunity to collaborate with and volunteer at various daycares here in California some years ago. Now, I am proud to run my own licensed Family Childcare — a dream that became reality in 2023.

Being born in Alto Adige, an Italian region where both Italian and German are spoken, inspired me to explore the ideal approach to teaching languages to children. While awaiting the arrival of my first child, my husband and I delved into this subject, implementing our findings with our three children. The results have been remarkable and continue to be, with the admiration and appreciation of their teachers.

I'm excited to continue this beautiful journey and share my passion for education and language with the children I have the privilege to welcome into my daycare. Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself and my story to you.
